To return chicken?

For the first time we used Tesco click and collect for our shopping yesterday. It was really easy and overall I’m really happy.

Only problem is we ordered a whole
chicken, the kind you roast in the bag, for lunch tomorrow... and it smells.

I’m 15 weeks pregnant so my sense of smell has gone wild but even in the sealed bag it smells a bit whiffy!

I’ve wrapped it in a second bag and put it in the fridge but really don’t want to eat it incase it makes me sick... I’ve only just gotten over the sickness / nausea stage of pregnancy so not wanting to take any risks!

AIBU to take the chicken back to the store? DP thinks I’m overreacting!

Agree, I've done the same before with chicken that was off before the use by date. I even moaned that I had to drive back and they gave me a £5 voucher.

They will give you a replacement or the same value off other products

fruitpastille · 02/12/2017 09:43

If you just phone customer services they will refund it.

I phoned Tesco yesterday to complain about a lamb joint we had in week which was awful! They are sending me a card with the refund on. I had kept the packaging.
