To think that not everyone checks John Lewis has refunded them?

First world moan I know but wanted to check whether others have had this happen, or is it just a coincidence that this has happened to me twice in the last few weeks?

I have just had to chase John Lewis twice for a refund on something I ordered online and returned to them.

The first time, they had 'no record' of receiving one of the items in a parcel.

The second there was only one thing in the parcel and I have proof of delivery so waiting to see what they say.

I wanted to let anyone who has returned items to them recently to check they have got their money back as expected: if you go into your account on their site and click into the order, check it says 'returned' rather than 'waiting for item to be returned'.

If you return stuff keep the proof of posting and cross check that the money comes back to you! I guess they have a problem somewhere in their returns system but I'm sure it can't be just me.

I used to pay for things on a john lewis gift card but it was impossible to see if I ever got refunded when returning items. Therefore I always use my partnership card to make purchases now.

Absolutely.
It's a first world problem, true. Grin
But I went through exactly the same experience with John Lewis. I had to really keep on them. Their returns are a shambles.
