In here purely for traffic, DH's cancer spread and I think we are looking at palliative care, would like to go away with DC's before anymore treatment starts and he is feeling well. Problem is all passports need renewing. If I can get an appointment can I take all four with me or do I need an appointment for each person.

Sorry, I know I can google but feeling rather brain dead and fragile at the moment

Why don't you apply online and send the application over?

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 27/11/2017 21:40

So sorry you are going through this.

If it is to renew UK passports you can do it simply online (so long as you haven't changed appearance). I know I renewed DH and DD online last year and mine in August. I certainly didn't need any appointments.

Take care of yourselves xx

Sorry to hear this, I have a feeling it's one appt per passport but you could call and explain? Best of luck Flowers

Sorry to hear about your DH. Apply on line. You will need to send back your old passports before they send out the new ones. It took me just over a week to receive my new passport back. I applied and paid on line on a Friday, Took old passport to Post Office on Saturday. Had to pay for Special Delivery to ensure it was tracked all the way. Received new passport on the Friday.

This was a few weeks ago. Was amazed it came back so quick. It is easy to go through on line. Just yes / no answers and need to download photo.

I renewed my passport and changed my name at the same time had to post it off but got it back within 7 days. Great service. Hope you get it sorted quickly and enjoy some quality time together Flowers

I did the check and send thing at the post office for mine and DS passports back in October and the new ones arrived in a week. We both had to have new photos - me because they no longer allow spectacles in the photo and ds because he was 1 when his old one was issued and he is now 11.

Sorry to hear about your husband. Suggest you check out travel insurance before you book anything. You can get specialist insurers for people who’ve been ill. Really important not to travel without it.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 30/11/2017 13:34

Thank you all for your help, we have had to bring the holiday forward so both DC's are in date although we did have to look around for somewhere we could take DD as her passport runs out in January, and DH is in London doing mine and his today. Insurance all sorted and we fly on Monday
