I am prepared for what I believe is called a "flaming" but one cannot help feeling a little put out. DHs perfectly charming but a little feckless younger brother has announced his engagement to an American actress. She seems pleasant enough but the wedding is apparently to be at the same time I am due to give birth! One cannot help feeling that she does not want me (and my swishy hair) upstaging her. AIBU to be a teeny bit upset?

You're too late someone's already done it. No one cares. It's not funny.

AlpacaLypse · 27/11/2017 11:58

Sorry this joke was done about an hour ago.

boomboom78 · 27/11/2017 11:58

I think you had better get used to her upstaging you 😜

boomboom78 · 27/11/2017 11:58

oh well looks like I missed it!

Amanduh · 27/11/2017 12:03

I wouldn't worry. She won't have the heir Grin

Barbiesears · 27/11/2017 12:04

She's totally stealing your thunder! What a cow!

There's a couple of these doing the rounds at the minute but there's already eleventy billion threads about the engagement as it stands.

I'm waiting for someone to post on site stuff asking if MN can just collectively haul all the threads into the royal section.

MrsXx4 · 27/11/2017 12:21

Another one?!!

whiskyowl · 27/11/2017 12:22

I didn't see the other thread, so you got me - I laughed, OP Smile

Viviennemary · 27/11/2017 12:23
Biscuit
LagunaBubbles · 27/11/2017 12:24

The first thread wasnt funny. And this defintely isnt funny or original OP. What a waste of peoples time if they actually fall for this rubbish.

Cabininthewoods69 · 27/11/2017 12:25

Made me laugh asdidnt see the other threads.

hidinginthenightgarden · 27/11/2017 12:27

I would like to think the person you are impersonating would use much better grammar.

SheepytheDuck · 27/11/2017 12:31

I laughed!

HeteronormativeHaybales · 27/11/2017 12:33

OK, this thread might not win funniest or most original thread of the year, but good grief, people, is there any need to be quite so gleefully nasty? Hmm

Barbiesears · 27/11/2017 12:34

What a bunch of grumpy bitches! 😂

lborgia · 27/11/2017 12:35

Bit baffled. Why are people SO angry at this thread? there’s another one, then don’t reply to this one. It’s about royals, then don’t reply to it, it’s badly written, feel free to point that out and feel superior as a result.

Seriously, leave the poor OP alone! Just bizarre.

lborgia · 27/11/2017 12:35

Lots of cross posting, about cross posting! Arf...

PsychoPumpkin · 27/11/2017 12:37

Obviously a lot of wee sodden cornflakes were consumed this morning, judging by the levels of grumpiness on this thread!

Celticlassie · 27/11/2017 12:38

Horrible, verging on bullying behaviour from a lot of posters on this thread. Is this the way you speak to people in real life if they express an idea you don't consider 'original'?

Rebeccaslicker · 27/11/2017 12:39

Gosh OP, if only you'd put "light hearted" in the title then- oh.

Oh dear!

IHATEPeppaPig · 27/11/2017 12:39

Blimey, it's only a bit of fun, calm down everyone Confused

MinorRSole · 27/11/2017 12:41

I love a royal wedding and a royal baby, I'm excited for both!

Allabitmuchisntit · 27/11/2017 12:43

I thought it was funny. Ignore the silly bitchy comments op. At least you've used your imagination a bit.
