Shes too busy to play with her son much. She becomes Moz and selfishly keeps him awake in the night for fun and frolics. Realises its doing more harm than good so buys the star lamp?

Hence the knowing look when her son looks puzzled about the gift.

Moz in Mum.

no.

gingergenius · 23/11/2017 19:05

Sharon???

RadioGaGoo · 23/11/2017 19:08

Reaching.

LoudestRoar · 23/11/2017 19:08

No, child is not sleeping at night, and would rather play. Child conveniently blames Moz. Knowing look is because mum has caught child out of their own game, and buys the lamp to get rid of the monster...

Booboobooboo84 · 23/11/2017 19:10

Thank the Lord Sharon’s back! How are you doing?

hiddley · 23/11/2017 19:11

What in God's name is this about?

toffee1000 · 23/11/2017 19:12

No. Where the hell did you get that idea from???? It doesn't seem like a knowing look to me either.

RaininSummer · 23/11/2017 19:14

Moz??? My first thought was Morrissey... But back to no idea at all.

LoudestRoar · 23/11/2017 19:15

It's the John Lewis Christmas ad

AllTheWittyNamesAreGone · 23/11/2017 19:15

Moz is imaginary.
Mum and dad notice he's often tired and might be scared of the dark so get him the light.

GabsAlot · 23/11/2017 19:15

Moz is real. The child's bed without a tonne of crap underneath is make believe.

NapQueen · 23/11/2017 19:24

Sharon?

Why are all the families in john lewis ads upper middle class?

CaveMum · 23/11/2017 19:28

No, Moz gets the boy the light as he knows his friend needs to sleep, so he’s sacrificing himself for the sake of his friend

ditzychick34 · 23/11/2017 19:31

I felt bad for the boy, he gets over his fear, they become mates, and then he has to say goodbye.

donquixotedelamancha · 23/11/2017 19:34

"Sharon?"

Oh, do the references not make sense without context and explanation? Annoying that isn't it?

user1467976192 · 23/11/2017 19:34

He’s scared of the dark so invents moz.. initially he’s scared of him then befriends him and plays with him instead of sleeping. Once he has the night light moz disappears because he’s a figment of the boys imagination

Sayyouwill · 23/11/2017 19:36

Why are all the families in john lewis ads upper middle class?

Are they? Confused

CuriousaboutSamphire · 23/11/2017 19:39

Thank goodness for User... a perfectly reasonable, no weirdness, just straight to the point outline of a fairly obvious advert!

My thanks - can you pop round now and tell everyone in my RL? For some unknown reason many of my friends seem to have developed Christmas Advert Stupidity!

AnotherDunroamin · 23/11/2017 19:40

Why are all the families in john lewis ads upper middle class?

Because that's who can afford to shop in John Lewis? Confused

Merrylegs · 23/11/2017 19:42

I've posted this before but I amused myself so will do it again...
