to be annoyed at newspapers

I am so sick of reading newspapers where women are so down graded. The picture of the celeb in a bikini is picked apart. If she dares to be over 30 she will be classed as “still would” and god forbid anyone over 40 is pictured. Que the comments of her being passed it and alright for an old bird. It infuriates me that we are raising a society where our worth is purely what we look like and youth is the only measure of success. Where are the articles encouraging beauty of all ages. Yes women are beautiful in the bloom of youth but isn’t our worth extended beyond that. I see 20 year olds having Botox and cosmetic improvement when they are already so lovely. The pressure on a woman to be a constant vision of perfection or disregarded. Where is the appreciation of her kindness her intelligence her warmth? Beauty really is more than skin deep. I fear for the generations to come.

Yes downmarket red tops are a silly choice of reading matter.
