To buy the same top as my boss?

I always think my boss dresses well, and I’ve seen a top that she owns in the sale at the moment. AIBU to buy it?

We don’t work together every day, so I could just wear mine on non-work days, but it’s quite distinctive and a few of our mutual friends/colleagues have commented on it, so they know she has it, IYSWIM.

I’m probably over thinking this...

Overthinking it, deffo buy the top. That’s why they make more than one. Get it before it sells out!!!

I would with others, but it feels differen with her! She’s one of those people who I would like to be more like, usually it’s just in personality, not clothing!

It’s this one. I think it looks better and on me and her than it does on the model tbh.

I only say it’s distinctive because of the zips, otherwise it’s just normal.

I’d have no issue if we did it accidentally, a colleague and I have done a couple of times. It’s just that I know she owned it first so it feels like I’m copying.

Its nice but not sure about the colour. I think you could get something similar cheaper but if you love it go for it.

I have (unashamedly) seen something a colleague has worn and said along the lines of I love that too, I have it too. That way it meant that I was able to buy it and no one would say I was copying. Scandalous manipulation I know.
