Had a really rubbish day, on several fronts, so decided to drown my sorrows in some Poutine, as I have never tried it. It was decidedly meh. I don't get it.

Mmmm... there is a place in my town that does poutine with extra cheese and bacon. Much yummyness, my favourite comfort food!

ShimmeringBollox · 22/11/2017 18:57

PolkaDottyRose · 22/11/2017 18:58

I really love it!

Aridane · 22/11/2017 18:59

Yeh, it,s OK but doesn’t set the world on fire, does it

Darkbendis · 22/11/2017 18:59

(they have "regular" poutine on the menu too, and a few others with various other things added to the basic recipe, but the one with extra cheese and bacon is my favourite)

gwenneh · 22/11/2017 18:59

Blasphemy.

Proper poutine is amazing.

DivisionBelle · 22/11/2017 18:59

Poutine is disgusting!
Especially the Canadian roadside diner original version with sticky sickly chicken gravy,
Revolting.

Sashkin · 22/11/2017 19:00

Ah, I think you’d built it up to be more than it is. It’s just a slight improvement on ordering normal chips.

It’s a good comfort food (though I’d rather have nachos or macaroni cheese personally). It’s not supposed to be a gourmet treat, even in Canada.

Grin gouda joke.
