Aibu to want to kiss the boiler fitter because...we are having a brand new one fitted as I speak after 4 weeks of rare heating and barely any hot water!! Soo happy 😁

I'm doing a happy dance for you.
Just over 2 years ago we got a new boiler and remote thermostst. Power flushed the existing radiators.
The place has never been so cosy.
Gas consumption went down too.

We are getting a posh thermostat too!! I'm so happy I hate being cold at home

Just word of warning is it a famous worcester bosh your getting fitted? I did the dance of jubilation too and the thing broke down and let me down over xmas, YES they sent people out to fix it each one diagnosed a different problem. I had to get shitty with them to send out a man who knew what he was doing...who eventually re built it.

Yay for you OP! I've just had a conversion from conventional to combi and I'm over the moon - after a year of showers with no pressure (may as well have washed in the rain!) I now feel clean and my showers are back down to 7 minutes :D

I want to shout it to the world XD

I’m desperate to book a new boiler but how long does it take? Now it’s turned cold I’m scared to book it in if it means we’ll be without heating and hot water for days.

Not sure my DSs have the emotional resilience to be known as ‘the stinky kids’...

Not at all! Grin

I wanted to kiss both the workmen that came to fit my new boiler after being without central heating or hot water!

It took all day to fix ours.

Do be warned though. Our new one bloody eats the gas.

QuizzlyBear · 20/11/2017 11:08

Thanks OP, that’s made me feel much more positive! 💐

Sarahh2014 · 20/11/2017 11:10

JonSnowsWife it's much more eco than our old one thank God bills should come down 🤞
