I went to Finnish Lapland a few years ago. We didn't ski but it was definitely available. Our lodge was very close to a ski slope but Ive no idea what grade it was. We also did some sledging on a nearby (closed to skiers) nursery slope.

You can cross country ski, and if you're anywhere near here

Plenty of opportunities for slopes.

ConfusedLivingDoll · 18/11/2017 13:20

You can definitely ski. The slopes are not as long as in the Alps, but there are lots of them and in a range of difficulties (I don't think there are many/any black runs, though).

Lapland skiing is great, it’s fells rather than mountain ranges like elsewhere. Skied in Levi and plenty of Blue and Red runs to enjoy plus loads of non skiing activities I love it!

Will say it’s very cold depending when you go, you looking to ski with kids?

ConfusedLivingDoll · 18/11/2017 13:48

It can be cold, but even then just get warm kit (overalls and balaclava) and get on the slope. shrug

Yes, you can ski there. It isn´t like a flat table top, there are hills and mountains etc.
