To ask for tips Work for a small business where receptionist has to book clients into 2 books ie for me and someone else I’ve been there a couple of months but receptionist still booking into wrong book by mistake and on wrong day etc The client is definitely asking to see me Any tips on how to stop people making simple mistakes I’m sure it’s not deliberate but she’s not being careful. I’ve tried a few things like asking receptionist to double check How do you prevent someone making simple errors which affect things ? Any tips..

Need more info.

Is it your business? Or are you for example, a hairdresser renting a chair in a salon?

Tell them. Don't be nice but be civil.

"You need to make sure they're going in the right diary as it can have repercussions. If it carries on I'll have to raise it unfortunately as it's affecting my work"

And make her boss aware regardless. Don't be soft about it. When I was a manager I wanted to hear if my staff weren't performing properly so it could be addressed. Especially front of house staff as they're the first impression of the company for many.

Also if she can't manage a simple diary system then the job probably isn't for her.

You need to have a word with this person's manager, or let them manage her.
