To be freaking out

Someone I got to do some work for my company tagged me in a load of posts in Facebook groups (industry related) that I'm a member of saying that I'm a scammer (!) as we've had a small dispute over the payment amount. I'm having a mini meltdown - aibu to be freaking out right now that I will never get work again and my name is fricking tainted by association with this idiotic guy..???? I am literally losing my sh** today with the stress of it.

I think you should wait until tomorrow (so you calm down and don't do/say anything rash), and then write a very small reply that sounds very rational and professional, and leave it at that. Your work will speak for itself, and this will blow over, don't worry.

You can de tag yourself and report the posts I think.

I would also make a short statement on my fb page (but when you are feeling calmer!)

I would detag then contact them explaining that it is defamation of character to post like this and if the posts are not removed you will take legal action. Then see if you can talk it through with them
