To be so angry about this?

I sold some toys on FB this week and a lady was coming to collect on Wednesday. When she didn't show I messaged her and she apologised, said her son was ill and could she collect today.
I agreed and she said she would collect just after 1pm. I checked this morning she was still coming and despite confirming she hasn't shown!
I am so angry. Someone else was interested and now may not be so I am doubly annoyed. I have errans to run that I will now have to do after collecting my son from school instead of chilling out on a nice Friday evening.
This isn't the first time this has happened this week either. Two tradesmen were due at the beginning of the week. One never showed up and the other turned up 40 minutes late as we were sitting down to eat.
It is so bloody rube! WIBU to message the woman and tell her how inconsiderate she is? She probably doesn't give a shit but it would make me feel better!

I'd just ignore her and message the second person who was interested instead. Either she has got an ill son so she'll have more important worries or she's just messing you around and wouldn't care what you think either way.

I have messaged the second person. I don't think her son is ill today as she confirmed this morning she was coming to get it.

You need to make it clear to buyers that it's first come first serve. Then the ones who are actually gonna follow through will show and you're not sat holding items for someone who's a time waster.

hidinginthenightgarden · 17/11/2017 14:56

On the sites I am on "first come first serve" refers to asking first rather than being the first to turn up at your door.
I had agreed a collection time with the first woman before the second expressed an interest. I should have just ignored her after the first time.

I've been a member of a selling group which boots people out for not turning up. Check to see if you're does and, if they do, report to admin.

It's annoying but it happens. Hardly something to get so angry about.

hidinginthenightgarden · 17/11/2017 16:02

It only happens hotbutteredcrumpets when people are rude enough to think their time is more important than others. It is rude and inconsiderate.

Extremely rude. What makes them think their time is more valuable than yours?!
Readadvertise due to timewaster or contact other bidders.

hotbutteredcrumpetsandtea · 17/11/2017 16:04

Yes. But your reaction is OTT.

PurpleMinionMummy · 17/11/2017 16:21

Yanbu. It's extremely frustrating. Not to mention downright bloody rude to repeatedly waste others time.
