Door bars.. Need to make a quick decision.

Need to make a quick decision while carpet man is here. Silver or brass door bars? What would you go for? Carpet is for landing and is grey. Bedroom carpets are all cream.
I'm thinking silver but do they look cheap?

I'd match whatever colour the door handles are

What colour are the handles and hinges?

Not as cheap as brass or gold! I'd go for black mottled metal (old house)

Silver with grey carpet. I have that and it doesn't look cheap.
