Watching violent films in public

I've just had to sit next to a man on the train watching a horrible violent film on his iPad. I appreciate that I don't have to watch but it was right in my eyeline and I watched a man get gored by a bull several times, along with some unpleasant shooting and stabbing scenes. He's just left and I'm annoyed with myself that I didn't tell him it was inappropriate. AIBU to think that people should be careful with what they expose others to in public, or was it my fault for not turning away and looking out of the window?

If he had earphones in then just dont look at the screen.

Unless the sound was on, just avert your gaze and read your own book/phone/look out of the window

You couldn't have moved no ?

I never see anyone’s screen when on the train unless I really look at them. I just keep myself to myself reading my book/newspaper or looking at my own iPad.

I once sat next to a man who was watching porn on his phone Envy
