To think trees in small gardens should have a height restriction

Just that really, you can't build whatever you like just because it's your own garden, but you are allowed to plant trees that are three times higher than the house that was allowed permission there. Huge trees block out light and suck nutrients from neighbouring gardens making growing difficult. Imo they should just make leylandii in small gardens illegal. Unless three or more form a hedge there seems to be no rules.

leylandii are horrid there is a house on a corner near us that have them, they are trimmed once a year (in winter) and slowly grow covering 75% of the pavement. Our old rental house had them to one side I would have to trim them every few months and in the three years we stayed there they never did their side.
