It is a lovely idea.

But some people just want to be on their own too for many reasons!

For others it might work. I would hate it personally but that's just me.

Oh, and the sharing on Social Media aspect would kill me too. Gaaah to that!

Think it sounds like a great idea OP :)

That sounds lovely. Smile
I can see it from both sides. Lots of people are on their own for Christmas, or don't have many people to visit/come visit them.
Going round to neighbours or friends you know are lonely sounds like a lovely idea. Be it mince pies, Christmas cake and a hello, Merry Christmas. Lovely.
The whole uploading "mince pie moments" to social media has me a bit Hmm though. This coming from someone who loves Facebook, Twitter, and IG and overposts sometimes! This is different though, I wouldn't plaster a genuine good deed thing on social media. Would feel kind of wrong and intrusive.
Spread some Christmas love and pies without the hashtags and acclaim!

Just bumping this for anyone else who might be interested :)

Agree about the social media thing. I wouldn't want to post stuff all over FB and Twitter about 'doing a good deed' or whatever - it comes across as really arrogant and self-centred.
