I ate a couple, they didn't taste right.

To ask what is this I found in Aldi pretzels?

Mummified mouse.

listsandbudgets · 11/11/2017 18:40

Whatever it is, I doubt it's meant to be there - why not tweet @aldiuk and ask them?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 11/11/2017 18:40

Decidual cast?

Hercules12 · 11/11/2017 18:41
Shock
Topseyt · 11/11/2017 18:41

I have no idea, but it certainly doesn't look right. Keep the photo and the packet. It might be possible to tweet them or Facebook them with it. See how they respond.

If they don't do Facebook or Twitter then send the picture to their head office.

TheQueenOfWands · 11/11/2017 18:42

Could we have a close up?

I'm feeling a bit detectivey.

OwlBeBack · 11/11/2017 18:42

Looks like a burned one

Topseyt · 11/11/2017 18:43

Failing all of that, try contacting Trading Standards etc.

BearFoxBear · 11/11/2017 18:45

Horrible whatever it is!

Almost as horrible as the gigantic and very much alive beetle I found in a brand new back of beansprouts tonight Confused

mermaidbright · 11/11/2017 18:46

I've sent Aldi an email and photo and they say that it is a build up of food matter from the production process Grin

WishingOnABar · 11/11/2017 18:46

No idea but I’m striking pretzels off my Christmas shopping list

mermaidbright · 11/11/2017 18:47

Oh dear Bear you win, a beetle. That's vile.

OP posts:
Topseyt · 11/11/2017 18:57

Food matter from the production process!! So stale and mouldy bits all rolled into one? Tweet that back to them and ask what they are going to do to put it right for you.

mermaidbright · 11/11/2017 19:16

The email from Aldi also said that I was welcome to return them to my local store as long as I still have the till receipt.

OP posts:
BearFoxBear · 11/11/2017 19:17

Build of food matter is just as bad as a mummified mouse imo! Bluurrgh either way. Demand reparations!

Nb: I may be slightly delirious with hunger due to the beetle incident putting me right off eating. Will attempt wine instead.

atsasnuffothat · 11/11/2017 19:18

Earwax. Definitely.

Mummaofboys · 11/11/2017 19:18

On the note of things disgusting I had a next delivery last week with some new jeans in the parcel, when I tried them on i thought pocket at the back looked a bit bulky so I put my hand in and pulled out a piece of tin foil a kit Kat wrapper and a USED sanitary towel! I was less than impressed!

Etymology23 · 11/11/2017 19:21

I had maggots in a pepper once and slugs in salad. I wouldn't be impressed by Aldi's response there. Tesco and Sainsbury's have been much better than that with me!

mermaidbright · 11/11/2017 19:21

Bloody hell Mumma what did Next say?

OP posts:
alovesupreme · 11/11/2017 19:23

Mmmmm food matter.

Mummaofboys · 11/11/2017 19:24

They said they were sorry for my inconvenience, to which I replied it was more than an inconvenience and after about five minuets of me going on and on they offered me a free pair of jeans from the new collection, I think she just wanted to get me to stop moaning.
