To ask for help choosing between 2 buggies??

Posting here for traffic; we're between the Bugaboo Bee5 and the Uppababy Cruz. First baby so I have no idea what I'm doing! Everywhere I look I see either one or the other, reviews for both seem good.... does anyone have any advice/experience with either? Or want to throw any other strong contenders into the mix?? All advice welcome! :)

Wife and I have the Cruz 2017 model. My wife loves it and seems to like the attention her friends pay to it as well!

I bought ours from buggy baby website for around 475 i think but no idea if this is still the correct price. Definitely well worth the money in my opinion though.

What kind of terrain will you be using it on?

The wheels on the Bee are tiny and shit for anything other then a regular payment (in all honestly I hate the Bee...I’m a nanny so have used many different buggies and I always inwardly groan if I walk into a house and they have a Bee!!)

Personally I love the Bugaboo Chameleon3 or the uppababy vista (personally haven’t used the cruz but if the vista is anything to go by then I highly recommend it!!)

We live in London, so... wonky pavements, the odd bit of cobbles or park, I suppose! Definitely leaning towards the Cruz, esp with the ease with which you can release the carrycot!

I’m also in London...Work in East love in North if that makes a difference to pavements and I’d get the cruz...I hate using it in the park as the wheels just don’t cut it through grass etc and it always feels a bit flimsy to me, the seat just doesn’t look comfy and the baby seems so far away! (Didn’t realise just how much I dislike it till I wrote that!!)

Which one do you dislike, Ihope? The bee 5? I thought it seemed a bit sturdier than the Cruz, actually, so it's good to hear that review!

Agree with you on the ease of release of carrycot on the Cruz. Didn't realise how important this would be until now!

I’d get a proper Bugaboo second hand.

I don't know the Cruz but I love my Bee. Small, light. Easy to fit on buses and carry down stairs.

I’ve been using the Uppababy Cruz for 10 months now and would recommend it (should probably update my username!).

I’m in London too and find it nice and easy to negotiate buses and trains. The carrycot was the biggest selling point for me though, so easy to carry sleeping baby up and down stairs and attach/detach from the wheels without waking her up! We used the carrycot inside too, and occasionally baby slept in it overnight when we were away from home (don’t think you can do that with the Bugaboo?).

The basket underneath is massive, not so accessible with the carrycot on but still loads better then lots others I’ve seen.

I have a Bugaboo Bee and love it - very manoeuvrable and light - perfect for getting around the city.

Baby can sleep in the carrycot too, as far as I’m aware, Soon - ours does :)

I had a different bugaboo and it was pretty bad. Switched to silver cross which has been excellent.

The bugaboo has a detachable carrycot. I don't think it's suitable for overnight sleeping though

Well, we went for the Cruz, after another detailed look at both and some more online research too! The colours we wanted were out of stock so it'll be arriving in 4 weeks or so, which is fine as I'm only 30 weeks now. Thanks for all your advice, everyone! MN to the rescue, as usual :)
