Has anyone tried the new 'posh' malteaser chocolates? Aibu to think they are rediculously underwhelming? They are primarily cheapy wafer. Sad times!

I've not seen them anywhere. Link?

Malteasers can't be bad though!? Shock

dinnerladies · 09/11/2017 18:26

Agreed @waitingforlifetostart I was gutted when I got them and they were what £6/8 (can’t remember exactly) and tasted surprisingly cheap! I don’t think even think I finished the box, waste of calories and money!

GooodMythicalMorning · 09/11/2017 18:30

Yeah . Disappointing. Rather have a bag of bog standard Maltesers

waitingforlifetostart · 09/11/2017 18:33

Yeah normal malteasers are lovely. They've messed up!

Someone bought these for me. Couldn’t agree more. Biggest disappointment since Pru fucked up with the bake-off results 😤

CakeNinja · 09/11/2017 18:36

These. Luxury my arse.

'posh' malteaser box of chocs.
LemonysSnicket · 09/11/2017 18:40

The word is ridiculous

twobambinos · 09/11/2017 18:47

I got them in Debenhams half price really was looking forward to tucking into them. Disappointment of the century. A standard bag is far far superior.

twobambinos · 09/11/2017 18:48

I'm so glad I didn't save them for Christmas Grin

Japanese · 09/11/2017 18:50

Ooo, I hadn't heard of these & I flipping love Maltesers...7 quid though!?!

waitingforlifetostart · 09/11/2017 18:51

I got them for £6 in Sainsburys. I thought they'd be amazing for that price. :(

They are NOTHING like maltesers.
Why they felt the need to cash in on their success and promote themselves with a 'luxury' product - don't fuck with a winning formula, maltesers are the dogs bollocks Angry

DurhamDurham · 09/11/2017 18:59

I was sure I hadn’t heard of them until my husband reminded me that we’d shared a box some time ago. That’s how underwhelming they were. I’ve usually got a good memory when it comes to chocolate

Because they cost £7 Grin

Flowerbot · 09/11/2017 19:02

What’s in them?

MrsHathaway · 09/11/2017 19:04

I have a 59p bag of Maltesers hidden from my DC waiting for me.

I win.

Doggymum88 · 09/11/2017 19:07

Are they anything like the ones in the celebrations? Those things are heaven on earth!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 09/11/2017 19:07

I don’t think even think I finished the box

Shock

I didn't think it was even possible - I've only managed it myself once --with those disgusting Hershey's kisses that even the dog wouldn't touch==

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 09/11/2017 19:08

I feel this way about the Malteasers bar.

I love Maltesers, but found the bar form bitterly disappointing Sad.

At least it's cheap though! I haven't seen these "posh" ones yet.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 09/11/2017 19:09

Now now MrsHathaway - everybody knows that the 59p bag isn't enough for an adult. You need the £1 size at least Wink.

Myneighboursnorlax · 09/11/2017 19:09

DH and I love them! They were exclusive to Debenhams earlier in the year, before Sainsbury's got them, and we used to drive half an hour just to buy a box!

CakeNinja · 09/11/2017 19:18

Sorry to bust your bubble Doggy but they are nothing like the celebrations ones. You can also buy boxes of those though!

onalongsabbatical · 09/11/2017 19:21

Looks to me like they're trying to nab some of the Ferrero Rocher market. Those little fuckers are rubbish, too. But people can be very gullible... Grin

squoosh · 09/11/2017 19:22

I'm reading all your bad reviews.......AND YET I STILL MUST HAVE THEM.
