Friends child got a merit award at school for RTRT.....are we both stupid for not being able to figure out what RTRT actually is?
Theories are -
Religious teachings X2
Rapping to rhianna's tunes
Real time robot tricks
Reinact truly realistic Tasmanian-devil/t-rex/toucan Grin

Righting the rolling tortoise?

puddingpen · 09/11/2017 14:52

I think I know the actual answer - sorry if that's a bit boring. It's Doing the Right Thing at the Right Time. Basically it's a reward for positive behaviour - could be one incident or ongoing behaviour.

IcingSausage · 09/11/2017 14:57

Sad I’d prefer to think she was going round setting discombobulated reptiles back on their feet.

hollie11 · 09/11/2017 14:57

Thank you puddingpen
Although I think IcingSausage's new game
Righting the rolling tortoise should be mandatory in all schools immediately! Smile

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties - they are only 6 yr olds so v.impressive if so!
Iris65 - Rubbing the rhinocerous's tummy made me laugh and go awwww at the same time.....I really want to rub a rhino's tum now

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 09/11/2017 15:01

An award for doing the Right thing at the right time? so a unnecessarily long winded way of giving a point for good behaviour then.
I'm disappointed it wasn't Rhianna rapping Grin

AuldHeathen · 09/11/2017 15:11

l saw the thread title and decided, before l saw the whole question, that it must be a polite person’s version of rtft. Read the ruddy thread. Grin

PizzaPower · 09/11/2017 15:12

We’re they on Mumsnet... Reading the ruddy thread?

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 09/11/2017 15:12

Surely a bit pointless if the teacher didn't tell the child what he/she was being given a merit for?

TsunamiOfShit · 09/11/2017 15:21

Read The Rucking Thread

moonmaker · 09/11/2017 15:28

A quick google search suggests
Real time race tracking

BaggypantsCrimplesnitch · 09/11/2017 15:32

@hollie11 - if you're ever lucky enough to get that close to a rhinoceros, rub it under the armpit or legpit, or behind the ear. The skin there is like chamois leather, it's so soft - and the rhino seems to like it too.
