To cut a long story short, I was very ill when the current managers started and I feel like they've always judged me for it. (Basically I had the flu, the rushed me back to work and I spent almost six months struggling with what turned out to be a combination of things.) To this day, they'll make jokes about me skiving and even when I do an exceptional job, I never get recognition for it.
The store is getting new managers in the new year and it feels like a fresh start and chance to get rid of the stigma they've made around me.
I don't think I'm being unreasonable but just needed to write it down.
