to expect a disabled badge holder not to park in the last P&C parking space...

... in their huge gas guzzling Jaguar saloon car and leave the engine running? I assume it was so that the passenger they'd left in the back could have the air-conditioning on but have they never heard of pollution or global warming? Open a window or door FFS!

Of course, the fact that it was a disabled badge holder and a parent and child parking space has absolutely chuff all to do with my rant, of course they can park there, I simply included that info to reel you all in

Well, you reeled me in!
And you don't need the engine running in my Jag to have the air conditioning, so definately not being unreasonable!

mytwopenceworth · 15/04/2007 13:50

soupie - are you trying to get beaten to a pulp?

SoupDragon · 15/04/2007 13:51

It's a great thread title isn't it?

Hmmm... I can't think of any other reason to leave an engine running other than air conditioning.

You certainly reeled me in...... I only wish I'd looked before dusting off my hard hat and setting the popcorn maker!!!

chirpygirl · 15/04/2007 13:52

I was all ready for my first ever

'Has this thing kicked off yet?'
post...humph!

MrsWho · 15/04/2007 14:05

AWww! I was coming for popcorn [sulky face]

PeachyChocolateEClair · 15/04/2007 14:23

LOL soupie!

nah they shouldn't have done it, if the air con ran off it then I'd have said maybe an asthmatic struggling in the hat- but apparently not the case.

I can start a bunfight over whether SN famillies have a right to use gas guzzlers if you want?

No?

Thank goodness- life too short LOL

gess · 15/04/2007 14:25

I parked in a M+T with my blue badge the other day, and rather sniggered to myself (disabled was full). Had ds3 with me as well though so I was spoiled for choice

Was the passenger disabled? If they're not getting out they're not meant to take a disabled parking spot. Now there's something to put the cat among the pigeons.

Blandmum · 15/04/2007 14:26

Peachy....must have been a big hat to cause them to struggle

FrannyandZooey · 15/04/2007 14:26

Oh you know, we did this in a car park the other day and it was because our battery (yet again) was flat and we needed to keep the engine ticking over for a bit until it had recharged sufficiently

we don't use our car very often and are a bit crap about things like leaving a light on, so we always find the ruddy battery flat when we go to use it

We do NOT have a Jaguar, though!

PeachyChocolateEClair · 15/04/2007 14:26

Ah Gess they might both have been diaabled, elderly perhaps???

LOL

Or maybe just evil car space thieves who wanted a chance to troll on MN but Soupy beat them to it

Blandmum · 15/04/2007 14:29

I'd need air con for this one peachy!

PeachyChocolateEClair · 15/04/2007 14:34
