Local massive public firework display, with multi-thousands of people there. We are fairly near the front of the viewing area.
Family 1 - standing at the very front. Mum & dad both recorded the display on ipads, holding them up high. They blocked DH & DC2's view. "Could you hold them lower down please?" was ignored, then huffed at with indignant stares when repeated. They only each stopped recording because they both ran out of memory.
Family 2 - next to me. With a bicycle in the crowd. They kept switching around how they were holding it, repeatedly jabbing people with handle bars & pedals. No hint of apology until I did snap "Will you just keep that bloody bike still?!" Then they did say sorry then started arguing over whose idea it had been to bring it.
Family 3 - behind us. Baby of about 6-8 months. No ear defenders. Moment the fireworks started the baby started to scream & cry and the parents just left it the buggy to howl. :-(
AIBU in thinking that none of these are acceptable ways to behave at an event like this?
