I know it's a bit pathetic but I do get really lonely

It's like no mater what I do I end up with hours and hours where I'm alone.

I'm sorry to hear you are feeling like this op.

Do you live alone? Work? How much time do you spend alone on average?

I've battled with loneliness at certain points in my life and it is horrendousFlowers

Do you work? Could you do more hours at work? It's what I do, its a bit sad though, but better than being lonely

Me too, got dumped, after 17 years, February 2016. I devoted my life to him and neglected my friends and here I am.

Don't be so hard on yourself, it's not in the slightest bit pathetic to feel lonely.

I have a DH and teenage plus children. Have always been a SAHM and I often feel lonely so DNBU.

I have found that charity/volunteering helps. Being single after 17 years is bound to be hard but, maybe, it's a chance to reinvent yourself?
