Is it just me or is it bad form to play ‘tunes’ via phone speaker on the train.. I might be getting old but I would never dream of doing that or letting my kids play iPad without headphones..

It should be an imprisonable offence, drives me mad!

Bluetooth speakers give me the RAGE Angry

They're EVERYWHERE and the little shits who use them are ALWAYS 'playing' RAP.

SpotAGuillemot · 31/10/2017 20:13

The people that do it are utter, utter bastards. We were on holiday last week, a couple made themselves comfortable on the sun beds next us them proceeded to play the loudest, most god awful music at full volume. Put fucking headphones in, or even better just enjoy the quiet. Grrrrr.

I have headphones in and can still hear it.. had a chat with boys in question and they had no concept that it might be not the done thing.. didn’t say that but I asked really nicely if they could turn it down as could hear over my headphones.. nice guys but didn’t want to ask why the not think everyone else might not be up for hearing dirty grime on our commute!

Not just 'bad form':

... " Except with written permission from an Operator no person on the railway shall, to the annoyance of any person:
...
(ii)
use any instrument, article or equipment for the production or reproduction of sound."

... That's Railway Byelaw 7 (1). See Railway Byelaws

Ask them if it would be possible (' please, if they could be so kind ... ') to see their written permission. Then when they can't show you, tell them to switch the noise-- music off, as they are breaking the law.
