To ask when we can have sex?!

Myself, DH and DS (2.5) have all moved into my DF's house while waiting to complete on a house purchase. My DB stays here half the time too and the other half at our DM's (he's in his 20's, has Aspergers and is still in his routine from when our parents split 17 years ago).

It's only a 3 bed so me, DH and DS are in one room together. We've been here for 4 weeks and haven't had sex. We've had a cuddle etc but I am really aware of our son in the room with us and my dad next door and just can't get my head into it. I am pretty sure it would be terrible to do it with DS in the room anyway, not that I want to!

Help! When can we do it?! Dad takes my DB to mums some evenings but if DS isn't in bed then we can't do it then. Was gonna pounce on DH tonight but he had a belly ache and disappeared for a shower.

Argh! I feel like a bloody teenager.

Why don't you do it in the shower? Or downstairs when everyone else is in bed?

My dad is a really light sleeper there's no way we could do that. The shower is a shower head over the bath too, not a proper shower, you would hear everything. It's ridiculous!

How long does it take to complete a house purchase? Here it's usually 30 days.

Maybe get a hotel room for the night, get it out of your system?

Feb! I can't go that long haha!

I am thinking we will have to go somewhere. It's getting stupid now! Dad always happy to babysit. I wonder if we could go somewhere for a night. Good plan.

You could always ‘nip out to the shop’ and find a lay-by 😁 then you really would feel like a teenager!

He can certainly listen out for him if you go out once he's asleep can't he?

Sod worrying about getting caught. As long as you don't park in the high street you'll be fine. If you're in a reasonably private place you're unlikely to be seen & if you are then it's highly likely they'll just tell you to go home whilst trying not to laugh

There's no issue with having sex with DS in the room, most toddlers sleep like the dead anyway. You'll get over it putting you off your stride. Obviously it's generally less that earth shattering, but it's usually earth moving enough when it's your only option.

The Mail would like that story if you were caught in a lay-by. Can’t you just have a silent shag once son is asleep? We used to do that in youth hostel beds etc. when sharing with all 4 children. The stealth gave an extra frisson. Grin

Use your car, or even go for a walk in the country ( Maybe not the best of months to consider outside sex ) but I'm sure where there a will etc etc .

dayuse is your friend here.

I use them all the time (disclaimer: jet-lag related) but it's pretty clear what their target market is! Ask DF to babysit and pop out for the afternoon.

I don't understand why you can't do it in the bedroom whilst the toddler is soundly asleep ?
If you're worried about the noise , put a white noise app on near him . It'll drown out any other sounds tried it

Phileas it's more to do with me being really aware that he's there. And my dad in the next room who is a light sleeper. I am just super aware that it's not my house if you see what I mean.

When we are in a hotel with our son we do it in the toilet after he is asleep. Not the most romantic thing but hey ho 😂
