Yarboosucks he put his hand on her knee, she pushed it off, he scowled and put it back on.

Touching someone's bare knee tends to be a sexualised gesture. Touching someone's elbow isn't.

God, people can't touch each other any more?????

He touches her knee get a grip this is going over the top now.

If a cute guy touches you ass or kisses you you ok with it 1 you don’t fancy its assault?

Think everyone needs to stop being so sensitive and shouting sexual assault over slightest contact

Didn't see anyone glaring? Didn't see Claire foy moving Adam Sandler's hand? Perplexed as to why an article has been written about it?

Clare Foye was obviously uncomfortable with the touching, Yarboo, or are her feeling's ridiculous, too? Does she have no right to decide who touchs her, or is does he have the right to put his hand on her again, because she has the audacity to remove it from HER leg? Silly woman, does she not realise this is the 70s and she's only here to please men? 😒

Such a contrast to Emma Thompson who is witty, clever and can certainly entertain on a chat show. I can't stand her either.

Sorry, wasn't a bare knee, she was wearing trousers.

Re. Blunt, it's worth saying that actors are often more at ease with touching each other than your average uptight Brit. Part of the job innit. Which wouldn't of course excuse any unwanted touching, but if they've worked closely the chances are they're physically comfortable with each other.

There are big differences between the Adam Sandler clip and EMily Blunt one. Emily Blunts touching of Tom Cruise was in the context of a story that involved them both and was a friendly thing between colleagues. They were both clearly comfortable with it. Neither Adam Sandler nor the story he was telling had any connection to Claire Foy at that point, it was just just weird and unwelcome on her part.

AS did look out of it though, I thought drunk.

She moves his hand four seconds into the clip, he scowles after and puts it back.

I'm failing to see what is so distressing about the Tom cruise clip?

I don’t think you understand the concept of consent Scaredparent.

I just watched the clip... to me it looks like they where joking around..

Emily Blunt touched Tom Cruise's shoulder. A touch on the shoulder is a lot less intimate than touching someone's knee. If Emily Blunt had repeatedly touched Tom Cruise's knee, then I'd think that was totally unnecessary.

Claire looked uncomfortable throughout the episode. She was leaning away from him and kept covering her legs.

The tom cruise clip is irrelevant- at no point did he move her hand away or look uncomfortable- plus it's not his knee

Claire foy moves his hand away - that is a NO - he ignores it and does it again

If someone says stop you stop

Claire Foy looked very uncomfortable and was looking at Cara for help or reassurance I think. He was well out of order, can't stand him away, he is like Will Farrell, one decent film does not make a career!

Emily Blunt and Tom Cruise are friends and colleagues who know each other very well. If she'd just met him and was touching him like that it would be different, but they clearly have a friendly relationship.

Sandler and Foy don't know each other, she looked uncomfortable, and he continued touching her even though she pushed him away.

It's a totally different thing.

Im usually on the woman’s side - and I agree he shouldn’t have put his hand there in the first place - however, I think he misconstrued her hand movement (to move his hand away) as her going to pat his hand, so he put it back on her knee so she could do what he thought she was going to do. Of course she/he then moved it. I think he was oblivious to her actual reaction.

I'll see if google translate can help me with this.

He touches her knee because he’s recounting a story and is explaining how he took his parents to an award ceremony, “just like you.” He then removes his hand before Emily moves it

He did nothing wrong!

You need to check your understanding of consent

I agree with chipln I don't see how he was purposely going against her wish. Blow out if proportion imo.

I don't like Adam Sandler, it's the sound of his voice I think. Yes Claire Foy looked uncomfortable and who could blame her?
But I'm not sure I like the way society is heading are we not allowed to be tactile anymore.
