No.

Have you said anything to them yet?

carolcoles · 13/04/2007 20:15

I'd be pretty pi**ed off if I were you!

Could you go round and nicely raise the subject of them cleaning up at least windows and garden furniture?

PanicPants · 13/04/2007 20:16

Haven't seen them yet, but I will go round in the morning.

that's bad, i'm really careful when i do our fence and half my plants are covered with the blue paint i used (2 years later it doesn't come off). grr for you. you have to tell them

NineUnlikelyTales · 14/04/2007 15:50

That is very annoying - but my parents did this to their next door neighbours and honestly didn't realise until they complained. So maybe they don't know they've done it. Go round and tell them and hopefully they'll be mortified and offer to sort it out straight away.

singingmum · 14/04/2007 15:56

I'd be fuming

Try to keep calm and smile when you tell them(to stop you grinding your teeth in anger)

Wotzsaname · 14/04/2007 16:02

I would be upset, when you speak to them what do you want them to do? That maybe their first question.

"what do you want us to do about it?" - you know, that kind of reaction.

serenity · 14/04/2007 16:31

I'd be annoyed, but would agree that they might not have realised what they've done. Have you spoken to them yet? What did they say?

powder28 · 14/04/2007 16:38

Those sprayers are terrible, nothing like as easy to use as that laughing man in th advert would have you believe. We bought one and had to use a paintbrush anyway to even out the paint cos it just runs down the fence. Our neighbour came round and asked us not to use it cos we were spraying his shed!

Manictigger · 14/04/2007 16:55

And when you've used them you always end up with a fine smattering of oddly coloured freckles on your face. (Do check for those on your neighbours)

snowwonder · 14/04/2007 17:01

i am dying to paint my fence but it is the wrong way and would drip through to my neighbours!!! thought the spray would stop that glad i saw this thread before buying one

powder28 · 14/04/2007 17:07

Yes, you do get covered in it as well. Also you have to do quite a few coats to get a good coverage. Not good value for money.

Freckle · 14/04/2007 18:38

My dad, bless him, spray painted their garden shed - in a high wind! Managed to cover himself, the shed, my mum and their windows in paint too. Took him forever to get it off and to get back in ma's good books again .
