Posting for traffic, I've created a knew product and I will hopefully be meeting a company's. how do I protect my product. I could show it them and they could say no and then they could just do it themselves. How do I stop the them from stealing it??

Patent it? Take advice from a lawyer?

It's 'new' btw.

You need a copyright. You also need a friend to check any reports or forms for you. Good Luck.

Luisa77 · 28/10/2017 23:28

For copyright - it doesn’t need to be registered - but for proof of when you cane up with the copyright worthy concept - it’s worth posted yourself a copy of any drawings etc and leaving the envelope unopened- so it’s got s clear post mark etc

But it sounds like you might be talking about something that is a product design. (So the relevant law is design rights) or a patent. In which case, it’s definitely worth taking out specialist legal advice about registering such rights

By the way it’s ‘new’ not ‘knew’ - just to be pedantic!

*posting yourself a copy!

And came not came

Seems we are all not immune to errors - apologies
