I’m very conscious of my weight, so was considering buying a corset. I told her I need something to keep my belly in, and she gave me a wheelbarrow.

"I told her I need something to keep my belly in, and she gave me a wheelbarrow."

I value humour in my friends. She's clearly witty and imagines you two to be close enough to tease one another.

Since you clearly don't feel this way, perhaps you should explain to her that you expect her to be cautious and highly tactful around you at all times.

Good luck finding a new friend.
