re childcare for 6 month old

Due to go back to work in 3 months. I work 3 weekdays and alternating Saturday or Sunday, this is my flexible working pattern. Childminder sorted for weekdays but no clue what to do on the weekends!

What does everyone else do?

DP is forces so only here every 3rd weekend (if that) and no siblings/parents.

Find a childminder or babysitter that does weekends. Not much else you can do, is there?

Can you find someone who needs a weekday you don't work and see if you can swap? Maybe try a local fb mum's group.

Use Sitters?

A lot of the women who work in nurseries during the week look to pick up extra babysitting work at weekends. Do you have friends with younger ones at nurseries who could ask for you?

have you asked your childminder if she would do the occasional weekend day? or if she knows someone who would. im sure she will know of someone x
