She's been with my parents since Monday and although I rejoiced on Tuesday to have time to catch up on my jobs at home (which will be completely undone by the time she's done with her toys everywhere tomorrow) now I feel like I never want to leave her again . School notwithstanding. Even the pleasures of a lie-in faded into nothing without her cheeky little smile beaming at me

How on earth do parents cope when their LOs fly the nest?

Awww, I think you'd be weird if you didn't miss her. Especially as you're at home without her - it's like when they first start school and the house seems so quiet and empty.

I can't even think about mine leaving home...it's just too sad. They grow up too fast.

I've got it all planned out anyway - ds1 is buying the house next door one way and ds2 can have the house next door the other way. Sorted.

ds stayed with my parents without us for 3 days last week. he had a ball, but i really missed him.

The house is too quiet and there's no CBeebies or Tiny Pop on .

I might have to keep having babies so there's always a little 'un in the house .
