(Sorry link is to the DF)...
www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5006011/Ministers-call-treaty-use-term-pregnant-people.html

Headline reads as follows...
Ministers call for UN treaty to use term 'pregnant people' to avoid discriminating against trans parents.

Only a person who is biologically female can be pregnant. Yes in some very rare cases there will be people who are biologically female who identify as male who become pregnant but how often is this likely to happen? Surely there are more pressing things for our politicians to worry about.

RunningOutOfCharge · 22/10/2017 20:33

You’d think!!

BuzzKillington · 22/10/2017 20:34

Yes. Ridiculous.

mummmy2017 · 22/10/2017 20:37

Ditto

Gottagetmoving · 22/10/2017 20:50

It's stupid. Very stupid. Very soon we will all be known as 'entities'

Glumglowworm · 22/10/2017 20:51

Oh learn to spell and to read the several threads already started on this topic

SheRaaarghPrincessOfPower · 22/10/2017 21:17

Ffs, spell checking? Really?

Mulberry72 · 22/10/2017 21:28

YABU (and ridiculous) to link to the Fail.

jeaux90 · 22/10/2017 21:52

Ffs I'm so fucking fed up of this never ending misogyny. Just when you think you are starting to get anywhere near equality this shit starts happening.

TulipsInAJug · 22/10/2017 21:54

This article was also in today's Sunday Times. Only 2 'transwomen' have ever been pregnant.

MamaLeen · 22/10/2017 22:30

This will make me so angry I'd if this is change.
I am all for trangender people being who they truly feel they are.
But it's just a biological fact that only a woman can grow a baby in her womb.
