First lie in since the beginning of term for me. Was woken at 6.30 by DH shouting "boys be quiet, it's 6.30".

I wouldn't have an issue with 7am. I work nights and frequently have sleep disturbed by work happening next door during the hours that most people regard as acceptable. 7am would be just perfect when I'm on nights.
The key issue is to communicate with your neighbours and check before you start/ arrange work.

7am is a piss take.
Sure my neighbours wish they could mute my dc at 6am though. No amount of soothing stops then. Scream scream shout. Poor lady.

My rule is no diy before 9, it's only civil.

And I wouldn't do it at 8am either. It's not much different to 7am. I wouldn't like the first thing I hear when I wake up to be a drill and wouldn't do it before 11ish myself, but I'd accept someone doing it after 9am or so.

We have a neighbour that takes her yappy dog out at week ends only between 6-630 am. ..
