BF baby with bug, do I go to work?

9mo had vomiting bug since Fri, only keeping breast milk down.

Was weaned off the breast during the day but has been feeding little and often. Solids make him puke.

Aibu not to go to work and stay at home to feed him?

Absolutely reasonable. I would take a day off to look after my poorly child however child was being fed.

No you WNBU to stay off work to feed your baby who is ill.

I would definitely take the day off to look after a poorly baby. If work don't like it it's tough.

No of course YANBU. Where does he usually go when you are working? If it's a nursery or childminder they won't be able to take him anyway.
If that's all he is keeping down as well it's for the best.

Yes. Stay off and feed him. One of the big benefits of b/f is when they get sick like this, you don't have to worry about them dehydrating, etc. Just feed as much as he needs.

I think the only way you could go to work is if it’s our partner who normally stays home and you could express? Other than that options are a bit limited. How are your work? Will they understand?

Teacher guilt is awful. Your child matters just as much as the 30 in your class. Take the day and don't give it a second thought.

Get used to it and get tough about it.

I felt dreadful when I went back to work (teaching as well) and then had several days off to look after a very poorly dd. But that's how it goes and decent workplaces get it.
