I know it’s not an aibu but I’ve always had thin hair but lately it seems to be getting thinner..😢 Can any of you ladies recommend either a vitamin or something to promote hair growth? I’m really starting to get worried now.. I’m 40 btw.. Thanks.

Biotin helps hair and nails grow.
Also get some vit b12

Yes, I can recommend the Philip Kingsley, soya supplements, the difference to my hair is incredible, and my hair is actually regaining colour, I am leaving grey to come through and have been for nearly 3 years, since starting on these my grey is disappearing. My eyebrows and eye lashes are also thicker and much darker. I buy them from qvc, and don't think I will ever stop taking them!

I tried everything and nothing worked until I found an unscented shampoo and conditioner that has no phthalates, parabens, sulphates or silicones. (Easier said than done, right?). It's made a world of difference.
Then I was diagnosed with severe Vitamin D deficiency and osteopenia (borderline osteoporosis). I have been taking mega doses of vitamin d and my hair is filling in and growing faster than it has in my life!!!

Wow, user. Sounds amazing. Going off to google!

Forgot about my nails, they are stronger and longer than they have ever been!

I could have written this post!! Can I ask what dose of Vitamin D you’re taking PP? I’m low in Folate & supplementing with 5mcg daily (as prescribed by GP), but not noticing much improvement. 😭I’ve been on them for 4mths, so maybe just need longer. Also, what shampoo is feee from all those chemicals? Sorry for hijacking post...

I use faith in nature shampoo and conditioner
Ionic selenium
Supplements with d3 and k2
B 12
Dhea
It's halted it

Have you seen your GP? It can be a symptom of hormone problems.

I second Faith in Nature shampoo and conditioner, also vitamin D&B.
Gentle handling helps and leaving to almost dry naturally before gentle styling.
