To not get Facebook groups?

I was a member on a Facebook group and last night I asked a question how to cut curtain wire as I've tried cutting some I bought but just can't despite using various tools I thought this was diy related but obviously not as I was banned without any explanation. Aibu for not understanding? It's not like I said anything offensive?!

Eh? That’s not a problem with Facebook groups in general. That’s just one particular group.

Possibly but it has 1000s of members so I don't think it's an odd group or anything. Weird

You’ve fallen foul of a mod in an individual group, for whatever reason. That’s no way indicative of other Facebook groups.

If the group is large sometimes they get inundated with the same old requests again and again and so have strict rules against this in order to make it less annoying for longer term members.

Or otherwise they require you to introduce yourself or something.

Basically, it's a good idea to check for a rules post (unfortunately, not always clear!)and then you shouldn't get banned, but Cockacidal is right, it's sometimes just down to the individual group being weird.
