To ask for stick vacuum cleaner recommendations?

Posting for traffic, sorry. My grandmother is looking for a stick vacuum cleaner for upstairs. She doesn't want to spend a fortune on it as it's only a second cleaner but will be happy to spend a reasonable amount on something lightweight preferably with a decent battery life that doesn't take too long to charge.

Any recommendations? And thanks in advance!

It's not cheap but I've got a Dyson Fluffy and it's amazing. We have a decent sized town house and can do two floors on one charge. Loads of good attachments too.

Dyson v7. Just bought one, very lightweight, 20 mins use, cannot rate it highly enough. Cost c £268 from John Lewis.

For the traffic happystory as OP has said.

I recently got a Dyson DC59 and honestly it's amazing. It's cheaper than the V6 and V7 however it shares the same motor. It's so easy to use, I wouldn't be without it now.

I love the v6 best investment I've made

haveacupoftea · 11/10/2017 07:41

Thanks very much everyone. Looks like Dyson is the way to go then

MsJolly · 11/10/2017 07:43

I have a Gtech k9 and it is amazing! Up to 40mins on one charge so that's a lot of cleaning!

Recently got the Dyson V6 Absolute. I wasn't sure because I want keen on the Dyson upright we used to have, but OH had read lots of reviews and decided this was the best one.
Have to say I'm really impressed with it.

Argos have the Fluffy for £200 on offer.

Definitely Dyson V6 Absolute. It's fantastic, lightweight and surprisingly powerful. I use it everyday all over the house and then a few times a month I use my very very heavy panasonic.
