To make you name a character

so I've called a character in a book Hester, but she can't be called Hester because it's based on a real person and it's not exactly a nice comparison.

Anyone got any suggestions for a name that has that exact same feel? The kind of name that some quite intellectual parents would give an only child?

Btw, you do know that even if you change names, if it's based on a real person you will need to be very careful if you intend to publish it? You must obfuscate well! Publishers are hot on libel law. Plus, horrible comeback for you personally if someone recognises themselves in an unflattering light.
