AIBU is a busy board. If people post something they know others will see it. Some boards are very quiet and things get missed or go unanswered.

People post on aibu or chat if they wsnt advice etc because if they were to post in mental health(for example) far fewer people go on those boards.

To be fair, I would only post in chat if I needed a quick answer and I don't post in AIBU because you are likely to get flayed alive.

If I am not deperate for a lot of responses in the next 10 minutes I do try and use the subject sections.

I posted about my teens last week. I was really fed up and the last thing I needed was an onslaught from AIBU. I posted in teens and on that board you tend to get people who have teens, or who have been through it. Much more sympathy, less self righteousness. More support.

If you want people to post who actually know what they are talking about, avoid AIBU and chat at all costs

Now I used to be a big fan of Hitch Hikers guide, but I don't remember the shoe horizon at all, so didn't catch the HHGTTG reference.
(probably because I am so old, and I read it all so long ago!)
