Finances - boring question

I've been waiting for a payment for work for a few months now (my fault at first, I invoiced incorrectly, then theirs as they got confused) and ramped up my credit card. My credit rating has dropped due to this as I was starting to get frantic and confused about repayment dates, though my cc company waived the charge.

Payment has been made and clears end of week (yayyyyyy!!!) So AIBU to just clear credit card debt in entirety first?

Why wouldn't you? Look at what else needs paying and decide logically.

I have loads of other expenses coming up but at the same time would like to say sayonara to cc debt as it's not 'my' money

I can understand that, only you know if you can afford to clear the cc or if you should keep more back.

Clear the most expensive debt you have in full as quickly as possible.

BulletFox · 03/10/2017 13:12

Yeah, I'd like to do that. Boring but practical.

No other debt. I wasn't expecting it to take 3 months to get paid and went into panic mode with the cc!
