messaging someone I'm never going to meet again?

This all sounds ridiculously childish but I met a lovely guy (a friend of a friend of a friend) last weekend at an event in a city very far away from me. He was very complimentary and we seemed to get on very well and ended up kissing. My sex drive has been non-existent for the past year but this kiss has ignited it and now I can't get him out of my head. Obviously alcohol has a lot to answer for but I do feel like we had a genuine connection.

Due to various reasons we are unlikely to see each other again and I have no desire to pursue anything with him. However, I really want to send him a Facebook message just saying how nice it was to meet him. I would have no expectations from sending such a mesage. I have been overthinking this and given the fact we were both drunk, I have no idea whether this is appropriate or not.

WIBU to send him a message a week after meeting him?

If neither of you are attached I don’t see what’s to lose really. Go for it!

Go for it! I see someone who lives 500 miles away a few times a year. I doubt it will ever be a relationship, but fuck me it's fun...

Go for it...!
But do think about how you might feel if you get either no response or a negative response from him.
Hopefully you won't, but if you've thought about how you might feel it can be helpful should the "worst" happen.

Oh....and so update us of course Wink
