First time posting. I may be AIBU: let me know what you think.
Today at a playbarn, my clumsy DS aged 2 walked through the toddler area to come to me at the side. A pair of new parents had just put their 6 week old baby down for some tummy time (it was in the toddler area which was full of large soft shapes and lots of children) they were with the baby. My toddler stepped on the baby who understandably became upset. He perhaps stepped on the foot or leg, didn't see clearly. Unfortunate, really.
However, their reaction surprised me. They were aghast that my toddler would step on their baby; I told him to be careful and took him out straight away but he wouldn't have even seen the baby as he was looking at me.
If you put a baby down in a crowded and busy playbarn, surely you accept that accidents may occur?
