To think these lyrics don't make sense?

My DH & I were going over and over this earlier, driving ourselves mad.

Sam Smith - Not the only one
The lyrics are:

You say I'm crazy cos you don't think I know what you've done.

This doesn't make sense to me? Surely it should be:

Cos you think I don't know what you've done.

Is it just me? Our 4 year old thought we were arguing because we were standing there saying both versions to each other as if one of us HAD done something wrong trying to work out which one sounded better!

You say: "I'M crazy" - because you don't think that I know what you've done

Is how I interpret GrinGrin

I don't know the song but presumably about cheating. So he's saying "you're cheating" and the partner is saying, "no! You're crazy". Because partner doesn't know that Sam knows what he's done.

Yeah but wouldn't you say "you think I don't know what you've done"

Rather than

"You don't think I know what you've done"?

You could say it, you can say either.

The first is more emphatic!
