who has just eaten the chocolate bunnies and chicks, so carefully sourced for my children and studidly left on the dining table for them to 'discover' this morning. All that is left are the little shiny choc eggs in foil which he obviously didn't fancy!!!!

And he doesn't even like chocolate! Bloody opportunist

he probably couldnt get the foil off !!!

he will feel sick now and wont eat his breakfast and you can stand there and say I told you so
or is that me to my kids in half an hour !!!

I hope the kids arent to upset

Freckle · 08/04/2007 07:22

My dog would have eaten the foil as well and probably puked somewhere for me to find several days later.....

oxocube · 08/04/2007 07:26

Well I must admit, I've not checked too carefully so puke is a definite possibility

The kids were v sweet though - their reaction wasn't 'bloody dog, eating my Easter chocolate' but rather 'Oh no! He will be poisoned or really sick' Quite touching really

Ah bless them thats really sweet

My dog ate my brothers white choc orange. We only caught her because she spat out the foil. My brother had only just put it in his pocket to eat. How my dog got it, I don't know

joanna4 · 08/04/2007 09:44

Well your kids have a good point keep an eye on him.I had a dog that once ate the christmas turkey I bet the words in your house this morning are similar to the ones we used that day.Your kids sound lovely by the way.

oxocube · 08/04/2007 16:03

joanna, my cats did that once!! We lived in an apartment with a balcony and had no room in the fridge for the turkey, so I wisely thought that as it was freezing cold outside, the turkey would be fine there. But one of our guests that Christmas went onto the balcony to have a fag when I'd gone to bed, and forgot to close the balcony door. I got up the next morning to find one of the turkey legs gnawed through . I just cut off the rest of the eaten leg, washed it and cooked it anyway

HA HA!

Chickbabymummy · 08/04/2007 18:27

LOL! At Xmas, one of my employees had a big bowl of Celebrations on the kitchen counter, his two dogs pulled onto the floor and had a feast! They left a load of the nut ones half chewed - clearly they didn't like those

NutterlyUts · 08/04/2007 18:32

Chocolate is poisonous to dogs, so watch him for signs of illness
