Because instead of continuing to park on our private road every day they paid attention to the note our neighbours put on their windscreen and didn't come back?

We live on a private road, houses on one side only, each house has one, and exactly one, parking space. Opposite is a grass verge.
Next door don't have a car and they are in the house next to the main road.
We have a car as does everyone else.
The other day we saw a car parked outside House 1.
Odd but perhaps they have visitors.
For 3 days the car was there when we left for work in the morning but not when we came home (and DH checked and it had gone by the afternoon school run too he doesn't have a stopwatch honest.)
(We live near a hospital so potentially early shift worker).
House 1 put a note on their windscreen to say it's a private road.
They didn't come back.
Do they not know we are waiting for parking thread excitement??
