Should I say something to the school

I picked DS (aged 7) up from school. He said one of the other boy has said "you won't see me tomorrow because I'm going to stab myself in the face with a pencil."

If I'd have picked him up at 3pm, I'd have gone back in and spoke to the reception. But I collected him at 6, and they were closed.

Should I drop an email to the school?

It's a bit of weird thing for a child to say. But I have reservations. But I'd feel guilty if something did happen.

Kids say a lot of things, I would find this a bizarre thing to report to the school.
But MN'ers seem obsessed with reporting everything to someone, so I imagine you'll be told to go ahead.
