Okay ... really just want some points of view.

My DH is currently going through legal proceedings regarding children arrangements. Currently DH has the children every Wednesday over night and every Thursday till 7.30 and alternating Friday, Saturday, Sunday nights.

DH is wanting to have shared care so the children stay Thursday night also.

DH exW is not wanting this to happen and is wanting to reduce the contact so the children don't stay over during the week and the children go back to DH exW Sunday night.

At the first hearing it was agreed there are no safeguarding concerns. However DH exW has concerns that it is not in the children best interests to have overnight stays during the week as the children don't go to bed early, and they are ill prepared for school the next day. I don't believe that's true however that what the exW believes.

Ideally I am wanting to hear if you have prevented shared care and the reasons .... or your view why DH exW won't allow it.

What age are the DC and what time do they go to bed?

Justoneme · 24/09/2017 13:27

There are 3; age 7,9& 10. The 7, goes to bed around 8ish, 9 goes around 8.30 & 10 goes at 8.45 ... they normally are asleep at these times.

Could she be concerned about a reduction in finances if its 50/50 ish?

Justoneme · 24/09/2017 13:36

It could be a possibility however she was awarded 500k mortgage free nearly and has a good job paying £40k a year ... my DH feels it is connected.

I can't remember understand why the exW would want to stop the children from seeing their father... I am wondering if I am missing something?

DH left the marriage, exW did not want the marriage to end.

So she is still trying to punish him then and using dc to do it. . .

Justoneme · 24/09/2017 13:44

I was hoping it isn't the case ... but I can't understand why share care can't be agreed on.

What do the children think?

Justoneme · 24/09/2017 13:51

We have never discussed this with the children. I don't believe the ExW has either.

Would it be fair to drag them into adult games?
