Namely Walkers use it or lose it campaign. They can't get rid of salt n vinegar!! There's going to be national outrage! What if people vote for Paprika?! They voted in Trump - anything could happen! Then Prawn Cocktail will be gone forever!! What are they DOING?!

I'd be happy to see the back of Walkers salt n vinegar because they are in the wrong colour of packet.

In fact, I'd like to see the back of Walkers full stop because they aren't as nice as other crisps. And because Gary Lineker.

treaclesoda · 23/09/2017 22:25

Oops. That sounded rather grumpy. Sorry Blush

EamonnWright · 23/09/2017 22:27

Can't go Salt and Vinegar. Never been able to.

Tayto Cheese and Onion is a different kettle of fish altogether...

They can't get rid of prawn cocktail! They kept me going through horrid morning sickness for several months, when I couldn't face eating real food.

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 23/09/2017 22:28

McCoys Salt & Vinegar are far better than Walkers!

Cornettoninja · 23/09/2017 22:28

Outrageous isn't it. I can only conclude their marketing office is basically staffed by the inspiration for W1A.

Fuck em, pringles salt and vinegar are far superior anyway.

prawn cocktail is an abomination unless in the form of skips

treaclesoda · 23/09/2017 22:28

I am the queen of the boring crisp. I have no time for these sweet chilli monstrosities. Ready salted, that's the way to go.

Midge1978 · 23/09/2017 22:29

They've said that the losers will be taken off the market in 2018!

OP posts:
Cornettoninja · 23/09/2017 22:29

Hmmm Bananas, I don't know. Paprika is very popular in Europe. I reckon it'll have a following here.

Midge1978 · 23/09/2017 22:30

I am not interested jn flavours from around the world if it means the end of Smoky Bacon. I thought Brexit would stop all this nonsense!

OP posts:
IndianaMoleWoman · 23/09/2017 22:33

I really don't get this campaign at all. You don't get entered into a competition or anything for voting, they are just threatening their customers. Why are they so desperate for web site hits? Why do they think anyone cares what flavours they sell? It's very arrogant and misguided in my book.

Midge1978 · 23/09/2017 22:34

I care goddammit!

OP posts:
WineAndTiramisu · 23/09/2017 22:41

I care as well, prawn cocktail crisps are getting me through morning sickness!

Midge1978 · 23/09/2017 22:43

Maybe you could still request them on prescription.

OP posts:
AuroraBora · 23/09/2017 22:43

The logical part of me knows this is a sales gag to make people buy more crisps from them. The illogical part of me is screaming "save all the prawn cocktail crisps!!!" and forcing me to buy them far more often that I used to.

I'm a sucker I know HmmGrin

PinkHeart5913 · 23/09/2017 22:48

I'd take paprika over prawn cocktail

I could lose the salt & vinegar too as I like mine a lot sharper that walkers

I wouldn't want to lose the smokey bacon though

TizzyDongue · 23/09/2017 22:49

Tayto cheese and onion are gack, pretty much any brand is nicer.

Don't like salt and vinegar. But it does seem wrong to get rid.

Prawn cocktail is wrong. I've disowned family and friends after I discovered they actively chose this flavour.

Midge1978 · 23/09/2017 22:50

Now Smoky Bacon has the hardest challenge- it's up against bacon and cheddar. It's a worry...

OP posts:
TizzyDongue · 23/09/2017 22:52

I'm sorry, what?

Smokey bacon is under threat?

SwedishEdith · 23/09/2017 22:52

Hmm, couldn't they combine prawn cocktail and paprika? Or am I getting mixed up with cayenne?

Midge1978 · 23/09/2017 22:53

It appears so Tizzy.

OP posts:
Midge1978 · 23/09/2017 22:53

No Swedish just no!

OP posts:
52FestiveRoad · 23/09/2017 22:55

See, I like a good paprika crisp. But that is probably because I am half forrin, paprika is very popular in other parts of the world. BUT- I will fight to the death to keep bacon flavoured Wheat Crunchies don't get any ideas KP

IndianaMoleWoman · 23/09/2017 22:57

I bought a multipack of prawn cocktail. Except four of them were paprika. Now, I like paprika pringles very much, but these tasted more chorizo-y to me, and I hate chorizo.

So what did I do? Did I scurry over to the Walkers website to frantically vote for prawn cocktail? No. I went back to Tesco and bought a multipack of Seabrooks instead. Talk about an own goal, Gary Linekar.
